Japanese govt bans small talk in cabs

Can we take inspiration from the Japanese and ban Uber passengers from asking the driver the same personal question every single time?

I love chit chat, keeps me awake and helps pass the time.

You're not forced to give the same answer to said question, vary it up and get creative.

Just now I was studying Aeronautical Engineering at UNSW because I am on a fast track to becoming the first Australian astronaut to enter space. Is that even accurate? Most people don't even know...

But its a conversation point and a fun one at that!

 

My comment was a joke. Yes I like a good conversation but not so much chit chat about the weather and my weekly routine.

Regarding your idea about being 'creative' what happens if your rider is also a rocket scientist? You'll have some hole to get out of

 

Quite the contrary, I'd tell them the more he/she tells me about what they do, the better my story gets next time I use it!
