Canberra Uber Drivers take note

Interesting article today in the RIOTACT ACT regional news. Pay rates may seem really good right now in Canberra but Uber are known to slush the rates once they are established enough in a given area.

Looks like the slow train to sydney has got the punters most riled
The most vocal goober pax was only interested in the price it seems
Funny how one poster was claiming that making up the 500 dollar impost was going to be a ball breaker - how unviable is this gig?
And they didnt even pay for proper insurance by the sounds
Only 700 drivers for half a mil peeps and rates much higher than melbourne yadayada
And still much less than adult min wage and only one way there - down

Good job too with the 'app logoff' that keeps on giving

I get the feel the media are going to be trending with goober fails for a while lol

 

Yep, we'll make sure of that until we see base rates get back to acceptable levels and our Government wake up and take a close, hard look, into our working conditions.

Nothing but bad news until then... the honeymoon is over.
