You could be getting around 40 cents per litre of fuel deducted from the GST you owe!

It's a tad more complicated than that so read up on the ATO site or confirm that your accountant is onto it.

Have you differentiated between public road use and not?
Given our vehicles weigh less than 4.5 tonnes.
Or have I choosen the more complicated approach.
I noticed there is a simplified way for total fuel tax credits if they are under $10,000.

Do you have an accountant or tax agent who has given you the green light on this? I'm really hoping so, because based on my reading of the ATO's information, there is no way we are eligible to claim fuel tax credits, but I would love to be wrong!
  6. You can't claim Fuel Tax Credits. Its available if you drive a vehicle with 4.5 tonnes GVM or more. I hope you don't. Lol.
