They take 25% of each trip with minimal overheads and big tax avoidance. Of course they are making money. It would be really difficult for them not to. The only reason they are not profitable as a whole is because they use that income to fund growth and expansion in other places which does initially lose money.
You took the words right out of my mouth. It's us drivers who carry most of the expenses of operating the Uber business. They, Uber just cut a commission. The Losses that they keep declaring are just investments in research and development and mainly designed for even more tax aviodence. One must be an absolute moron to lose money in the current business model they operate under, and morons they are not.
