Sticky Residue from Didi Stickers

Does anyone know how on earth to remove the sticky residue from the Didi stickers off of the windows? Their stickers are near impossible to remove and they leave behind a mess on your windows.
I've tried scraping with WD-40 but it didn't work.

    Hoping someone can help.

    Many thanks.

Try metalized spirit or alcohol. You can get them at your local hardware store.
