[2/5/2017] No Uber! - Log-OFF protest update

News of our two days protest was communicated to the press. Hundreds of Uber drivers around Melbourne took part in this Log off protest and switched OFF their driver app until 5PM.

Drives I would like to remind everyone that our protest is to proceed as planed. Please remain offline Wednesday, 3/5/2017 from 1PM to 5PM.

Uber has gone out of their way to suppress the surge today. We all know all too well about their psychological tricks and today was no different. Don't let Uber fool you. Uber hurts when drivers switch off in protest!

Stay united people. We are all fighting for a very just cause. Fair pay and working conditions are a human right, not a negotiated bonus. We have all made the effort today, we all took a hit on our income for this week, BUT what are our options?... should we just let Uber continue to exploit us and get away with it?...

I for one say NO and demand that Uber raise the base rates immediately..... How about YOU?
