Retirees driving a few hours per week just so they can get away from the Mrs, love Ubering and dont really care much about the income/expenses.

They are happy to do it just so they can get out of the house, do something and meet/talk to other people.

 

@Elepante Nathan was being a dickhead in my opinion. He is in his late twenties and loves women. Perhaps he enjoys meeting new people? Shall let him talk about it if he wants to. I didn't recruit him over here to be silly but meh, it's a free world or so we hope. We're running from persecution at UP.

 

Its OK to be satisfied. We dont hate Uber here. We just want to see Uber change thier attitude and give us drivers more respect.

Maybe it's fine for EN's set of circumstances. If he's satisfied then i'm very happy for him. I just wish we could all say the same.

 

Even though I'm semi retired I still expect to make a liveable wage for the hours I work. Like everyone else I have the same expenses and have a depreciating car that will one day have to be replaced. Driving for Uber keeps me in golf balls and beers and then a good accountant saves me a bit more on the tax side of things.
I am the same as everyone else and see no reason why we should all not be receiving a liveable wage and can't get over Uber's short sightedness especially in a small market place like Perth! Poor return and way too many drivers! The word is starting to get around and the next thing we know the only people driving Uber will be ex taxi drivers who will be worse off than they were with the taxis, will bring their belligerent attitude with them and people will stop using Uber!

Ahahahaaa! theres a bit of truth in all of that. i love driving for uber and yet as each day passes it gets harder, and thats because we are kept in the dark. the market is flooded with ants and im more than happy to drive to areas where demand exceeds supply - just let me know instead of creating fake surge maps!

 

Uber is not a community service. Can't hack it, then leave.
